Bourbon Liberty News
May 2008 - … and in Gulf of Mexico!
Having left China, the two other vessels in the series (Bourbon Liberty 102 and Bourbon Liberty 103) reached the Gulf of Mexico in mid-May 2008, after crossing
the Pacific Ocean and Panama Canal.
Named Roca Partida and Elmezquital, they are destined for Pemex, the Mexican national operator.
With their new low-consumption diesel-electric propulsion system, very great flexibility and sophisticated power management system, they are perfect for the requirements of the major oil companies. They are ideal for the Gulf of Mexico where the oil fields are very concentrated and the fleet is old.
They are able to operate both in offshore continental and in the deepwater offshore fields that are starting to be developed in this region.
